  • Transport/Parking Options 


    By rail: Underground stations, St Johns Wood, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road and Maida Vale are all a 10 minutes’ walk away from the gallery. West Hampstead and Kilburn High Road London Overground stations are also within easy walking distance. We advise you to navigate your journey using the Transport for London (TfL) site.  

    By bus:
     Buses 189 and 139 stop at the junction off Abbey Road and Boundary Road. Bus 31 Stops at the junction off Belsize Road and Abbey Road, and then it is a short walk from Boundary Road. Go to Transport for London to plan your journey by rail or bus. We advise you to navigate your journey using the Transport for London (TfL) site.  


    Parking: There is metered car parking on both sides of Boundary Road. 

  • Accessibility


    We have a ramp to facilitate wheelchairs to the ground floor gallery – please ask. We regret that there is no access for wheelchair users or those with mobility difficulties to the lower ground floor, library and archive. However, we are always happy to show high-resolution images of all works displayed downstairs.

    Boundary Road offers a wide variety of cafés and restaurants. Within easy walking distance is the famous Beatles' Abbey Road Crossing and Abbey Road Studios, Regent’s Canal, Regents Park, London Zoo and the boutiques of St John’s Wood High Street. Nearby attractions include The Freud Museum, The Jewish Museum, The Sherlock Holmes Museum and Madame Tussauds.

    • Research and commission collection inspired art interventions for the over 70s to enrich their quality of life through digital channels;

    • Develop our pioneering first full scale virtual museum and research centre to maximise engagement across a global digital audience.
