Zena Flax b. 1930
Zena Flax studied at Chelsea School of Art, specialising in illustration, then at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, where she focused on etching. She exhibited with the WIAC in 1954. A lecturer at Barking College of Technology (1970–74), she afterwards became a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She held a solo exhibition at Ben Uri Gallery in 1971 and a group exhibition with the Printers Inc Workshop in 1990. Her lithograph, Forest, exuding verve, shows her eye for line, form and colour.
