Panchal illustrates the dichotomy of the innocent wearing of the humble 'hoody' - that staple of unisex street clothing - now being easily associated with negative connotations. Panchal also sees a parallel with the saris that the women of his village wore as he was growing up - swathes of cloth that would cover the head to simultaneously protect them from the blazing sun and to withdraw the wearer from the public gaze.
