Israeli Arab Bedouin artist Bashir Abu-Rabia was born in 1951 in Kaffif, Israel. He studied at the Avni Institute of Art in Tel Aviv, and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He lives in Jaffa, where he works as a painter, teacher and sound and graphic designer for films and motion pictures. In 1975 his work was exhibited in a two-person show at Ben Uri Gallery in London, Offer Lellouche & Bashir Abu-Rabia Paintings. He has held five solo shows, most recently, 'Chaos' (2016) at the Zawyeh Gallery in Ramallah and has participated in many group exhibitions across the Middle East, Europe and North America.
