Visual artist Miranda Lopatkin was born in 1977 in London, the granddaughter of immigrant Jews from Russia and Poland. She undertook a foundation course at Central St Martins College of Art and Design in London before studying for a degree in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick from 1997 to 2000. She has exhibited nationally and internationally including at the National Portrait Gallery, Pitzhanger Manor, and Ben Uri Art Gallery and Museum.
