Rivka Mayer was born into a Jewish family in Canakkale, Turkey in 1938 and immigrated to Israel in 1948, studying at the Bezalel School of Art. She later studied in England at St Martin's College and exhibited with the Ben Uri in 1975. She died in Israel in 1990.
