Painter and lithographer Margaret Levinson was born in Bournemouth, England, in 1926. She was best known for her scenes of Jewish life as well as her landscapes of both the English countryside and the Venetian Carnivale. She held solo exhibitions at Ben Uri Gallery, the Medici Society, and the Poole Arts Centre and in 1984 toured a six-month solo exhibition in galleries throughout Hampshire. In 1999 she was featured in an exhibit of 'Five Dorset Artists' at the Four Seasons Gallery in Wimborne. She died in Bournemouth in 2018.
